Algerian Olympic champions were celebrated at Algiers airport after Paris 2024 achievements. Imane Khelif, who won the women's 66kg boxing title, was particularly honoured for overcoming gender controversy. Teen gymnast Kaylia Nemour and men's 800m bronze medallist Djamel Sedjati also received praise. Khelif highlighted the strength and resilience of Algerian women through her victory.
